1. Overview
===========
	
	DriveWindow Light is a commissioning and maintaining tool
	for ACS140, ACS160, ACS310, ACS320, ACB330, ACS350, ACS355, ACS400,
	ACH400, ACS510, ACB530,	ACS550,	ACH550, ACQ550, DCS400, DCS550
	and DCS800 drives. Also following ACS600 and ACS800 applications
	are supported: standard, spinning control and pump control.

	DriveWindow Light is designed to run under the Microsoft
	Windows NT4.0 (SP6), Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista,
	Windows 7, and Windows 8 operating systems on IBM -compatible PCs.


2. System requirements
======================

	- Processor:		Pentium 133 MHz
	- Operating System:	Windows NT4.0 SP6, Windows 2000,
				Windows XP, Windows Vista,
				Windows 7, or Windows 8
	- Display: 		1024x768 256 colors
	- System Memory (RAM):	64 Mbytes
	- Hard Disk Space:	100 Mbytes

 
3. Installation
===============

	1. Run the SETUP.EXE from the root directory of this CD.
		- Make sure to have administrator privileges
	2. Follow the instructions given by the Installation 
	   Wizard. 


4. Getting Help
===============

	- DriveWindow Light contains online help which can started
	  by pressing 'F1' key or from the 'Help' Menu. Online 
	  Help requires MS InternetExplorer 3.0 or later installed
	  in the computer.
	- User's Guide can be found in PDF-format in the
	  DriveWindow Light Installation directory.


5. Known Issues
===============

	- Making the monitoring window bigger changes the maximum
	  value of the y-axis.
	- Large Horse Power ACH400 drives can not be switched from
	  reverse to forward without stopping the drive first.
	- In offline mode formerly saved monitoring data cannot be
	  opened if no Parameter Browser is open.
	- ACS600 only software versions 5.x and higher are supported
	- Some early versions of ACS550 don't have proper identification
	  data. Online connection to these drives can be established 
	  using the Force Online -feature.
	- While installing DriveWindow Light on Win 2000, you may encounter
	  an error "Error 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting
	  runtime." In this case open windows explorer and right under
	  desktop there is My Documents folder. Right click on the folder
	  and select Properties. If the Target location field is empty or
	  you don't have access to the folder specified there, fill in a
	  folder that you have access on. Try installation again.
	- ACx550 SW versions prior to 202c give an illegal value error with
	  parameter 1602 while restoring or downloading parameters. This is
	  because the passcode in parameter 1603 is not set in these cases.
	- Parameter compare does not work between different languages
	- Drive Statuspanel units are taken from corresponding .ini files.
	  If e.g. ACS550 needs to show Upm (instead of rpm), open ACS550.ini
	  file (under .\Program Files\DriveWare\DriveWindow Light 2). 
	  Change the key "Unit" under section [Speed] to value "Upm".
	- Editing of binary parameters is not possible in ACS800 drives
	- ACx550 and ACS350 files (*.dwp and *.dwm) made with 
	  DriveWindow Light 2.4 or newer are in unicode format. If they are 
	  to be used with older DriveWindow Light versions they must be 
	  converted to ASCII (with Notepad for example).
	- With drives using SAP protocol, the monitor data may be lost in 
	  some cases if the monitor settings are adjusted while the 
	  monitoring is on.
	- There may be compatibility problems with early sw versions of
	  ACS350 drives including FlashDrop feature support.
